Spending summer in a sports camp is one of the most fun you can have. You’ll meet new people, stay in shape, never get bored and come back to school with amazing memories. You should be in shape when you get there
There’s no doubt about it: when you leave camp, you’ll be in much better physical condition than when you arrived. Most members who go there have some sports and physical training, and if you don’t, you’ll find yourself lagging behind and probably feel left out. To make sure your body is ready for a few weeks of intense sports, whether we’re talking about football, basketball, tennis or other sports, exercise a bit in advance. Nothing too intense, just enough to get used to daily effort.
Make yourself noticed, but don’t show off
One of the benefits of going to a sports camp is that it promotes collaboration and team spirit. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t let your competitive side shine through. If you are really good at a certain sport and want to stand out, then don’t be shy. However, be careful not to overdo it, because the other participants might not be very fond of the “teacher’s pet” attitude. Depending on what camp you go to, you may or not be required to stay offline. However, even if the use of smartphones and laptops is allowed, you should try to use them as rarely as possible. It will be difficult at first, but a digital detox can help you connect more with your colleagues, make new friendships and focus on the reason why you came there: get better at sports, stay healthy, have fun and recharge your batteries!
